Final Reflections
I felt really happy and excited to start working on my PYPX because I knew it wouldn’t be too much hard work and that it would be so much fun working as a team. I was so happy until I discovered that in the next few months I will be working on my own, and that’s exactly what I didn’t want to do. But the week we had to present my PYPX turned out to be great and I was so proud of myself. I wish I could do my PYPX again.
How did you feel about doing the presentation? I think I felt all the feelings at once.
What new skills did you learn during the Exhibition? I learned how to make a google form.
What was the most enjoyable part of the Exhibition? Going to the trip to Arusha with Malveer.
What was the most challenging part of the Exhibition? Putting all the video into my slide show.
Would you do anything differently if you could turn back time? Yes, I would change a few words in my slide show.
Did you learn anything new about yourself? Yes, it’s that I can work harder than I think I can.
Anna Marsden said, Dear Ivan, This was a wonderfully enthusiastic exhibition, I was so impressed by your brushbot and loved seeing your robot in action. Thank you for sharing your passion for technology. But, even more impressive was how you engaged with all your peers throughout the exhibition, this really showed your kind and caring nature. Well done.
Deborah Mills said, Ivan, I have enjoyed your Exhibition so much. From the very early stages you had your heart set on technology. I think at first it was a little bit challenging to have to work at home by yourself but you have done a super job. Because you, Malveer and Manvir ended up working separately because the campus closed, your presentations have evolved differently which is interesting to see. I remember when you came to school to collect the bits and pieces for your robot. I imagined it might take you some time to construct it but just a few hours later you sent me the video of the brushbot cleaning your floor. Everything you do you do with energy and enthusiasm and I think that shines through in your presentation. Congratulations! We are all so proud of you.
David Ochieng said, Great job my mentee. I can see you still remain smart in your formal suit since the ‘non uniform day.’ I am smitten by your confidence, oratorical and articulation skills . Thanks for educating me on technology. The facility I am staying in at the moment made it impossible for me to honour my promise of watching your presentation. Please forgive me. God will help you to nurture your interest in technology and may He prosper you. You are now MYP ready. Despite my departure, I will always be available for any questions you may have.
Kacey Buckley said, Ivan, I’m so proud of you! I know you had been looking forward to working with a group but you did a great job with the unexpected switch to working independently. Your robot was very cool and I’m glad that you were able to make something yourself. Great work!
Zitha said, You look very smart in your suit. You presented very well with confidence and you had a lot of knowledge on technology. I also loved your robot cleaner creation. Bravo! All the best up to MYP.
