Milcah has inquired into street children.
Her Central Idea is: Where We Live Shapes Our Identity
She is answering the following questions:
- What are the reasons that children live on the street?
- What are the challenges faced by street children?
- What is our responsibility towards street children?
Final Reflections
I felt nervous about presenting my Exhibition to many people who were in Moshi, the U.K. and other places but I encouraged myself to be confident. Throughout my PYP Exhibition I learned a few skills: I learned how to use Zoom and I learned how to be positive no matter what the situation is. The most enjoyable part of my Exhibition was doing art with the street children. The most challenging part was dealing with the internet because here at home the internet is sometimes not good. If I could turn back time I would have made a song too. I learned that I can draw a lot of things.

Deborah Mills said, Great work Milcah! I think everyone faced challenges working away from campus but you faced more than most because of the difficulty of communicating with us online. At the very start you planned to do your Exhibition on Art. Then one day you told me you wanted to work with Julian on Street Children. I wondered why you had made such a complete change and it was then that you explained to me that you had always found art to be a source of comfort and happiness in difficult situations and you thought that it might prove similar for street children who were facing hard times. I am sorry that you did not get to spend more time at the Amani Centre but I’m sure they are pleased to receive your art packs and that when campus opens you will be able to go down and do more face to face lessons. Well done Milcah for your commitment and effort – you should be proud of yourself.
