“Sisi ni nani” ni mada wanafunzi wa P6 walijivunia kuifanyia uchunguzi na kuieleza kwa kuandaa igizo la Kiswahili kwenye maonyesho yao. Kwa bahati mbaya, janga la Corona limegeuza ndoto yao ya kuandaa igizo hilo kuwa kitu kingine. Kitu hicho ni kuelezea hali muhimu zinazowawezesha mwanafunzi kujifunza (learner profiles) katika shule za “International Baccalaurate” (IB). Katika maandalizi ya maonesho, wanafunzi walionyesha kuwa tayari kwa mabadiliko, kuonesha uwezo wa kujitegemea na kuchunguza maarifa kupitia vyanzo mbalimbali vya taaluma. Shule inajivunia utendaji na mafanikio yao katika kujifunza Kiswahili.
“Who we are” was an inquiry that P6 students were planning to explore and express through a Swahili short play in their exhibition. Unfortunately, the pandemic turned this dream of doing a play into a need to devise something remotely, i.e., to express how one lived his/her International Baccalaureate, IB learner profiles during PYP exhibition preparations. The children showed flexibility, independence and the ability to explore knowledge across a range of disciplines. The school is proud of their performance and achievement in learning Swahili.

One minute the children were rehearsing their lines of a Swahili play in class and the next they were at home and you were putting together a new plan where they related their Exhibition project to the attributes of the Learner Profile.
